On 3 May 2024, the traditional Santa Fiora festival takes place with a large fair and procession, in which three enormous gnarled trunks in the shape of a cross are carried through the streets of the village.
In the past, carrying the huge crosses in procession was a public act of courage and maturity, showing that one was ready for marriage.
