On July 20th and 21st, the 56th edition of the mineral and fossil exchange exhibition, organized with passion by the “Bernardino Lotti” Mineralogical Group of Massa Marittima, will take place in the evocative medieval cloister of Sant’Agostino. The exhibition will offer a unique opportunity to admire a vast selection of minerals and fossils from collections across Italy. The stands will be open on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday for the entire day, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The ‘Bernardino Lotti’ Mineralogical Group, established in 1975 by enthusiasts and experts in the field, is a true institution in Massa Marittima. Each year it organizes this exchange exhibition, incorporating it into the rich cultural calendar of the Tuscany Region. The event not only provides an opportunity for discovery and enjoyment but also serves as a moving tribute to the unwavering commitment of the miners who labored tirelessly for decades in the mines of Massa Marittima and the surrounding hills. This is further evidenced by the numerous testimonies scattered throughout the territory of the UNESCO Geopark of the Metalliferous Hills.
