Now in its XXXVII edition, “Lirica in Piazza” celebrates this year the centenary of the death of Giacomo Puccini (1924/2024), with the performance of two of his most beloved operas. An occasion to commemorate the life and work of one of the most illustrious Italian composers in history.

The event's program is filled with unforgettable performances:

August 3rd: Giacomo Puccini's “Tosca,” directed by renowned director Katia Ricciarelli.

August 4th: Pietro Mascagni's “Cavalleria Rusticana,” with the exceptional theatrical interpretation by actor Michele Placido in the role of Giovanni Verga.

August 5th: Grand finale with Giacomo Puccini's “Madama Butterfly,” featuring directorial notes by Alessandro Cecchi Paone.
