Ticket sales start in March 2024
This year Lirica in Piazza pays homage to Giacomo Puccini on the centenary of his death (1924/2024), through the representation of two of his great operas. A unique opportunity to commemorate the life and career of one of the most illustrious Italian composers in history.
Lirica in Piazza 2024 opens with the "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini on 3 August, directed by Katia Ricciarelli, followed by the "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Pietro Mascagni on 4 August and the extraordinary participation of Michele Placido who recites Giovanni Verga; grand finale on 5 August with "Madama Butterfly" by Giacomo Puccini with notes directed by Alessandro Cecchi Paone.
Opera in the square is organized by the Municipality of Massa Marittima with the artistic direction of the master Leonardo Quadrini and the production of Musicainsieme and Bucaneve
