Tuscany, land of vineyards, hills, art cities and weddings: according to data from the Destination Observatory Weddings in Italy, collected by the Tourist Studies Center and funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Tuscany is the first Italian region for destination weddings, with more than 2300 foreign marriages celebrated in 2022
(1000 more than the previous year) for a turnover of 130 million euros and more than 432 thousand overnight stays in accommodation facilities.
To intercept this incredible demand and direct it towards an increasingly varied offer, from 2021,Toscana Promozione Turistica, the Regional Agency for the promotion of tourism in Tuscany, in cooperation with Destination Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau and its division Tuscany for Weddings has launched a
project to promote Tuscany as an international Wedding Destination. Strong of this role, Tuscany for Weddings draws on the know-how of its Team to promote the endless possibilities that Tuscany has to offer for private celebrations and events, identifying customized solutions.
Tuscany, in fact, is not only a unique territory for art, history, culture, food and wine and traditions, with the world’s highest concentration of World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO: it is a territory rich in locations suitable for the most diverse needs, from civil and religious rites to symbolic and LGBTQ+.
From the most famous art cities to ancient Etruscan settlements such as Volterra and Populonia, which boast beautiful hilly views, up to the villages surrounded by greenery and vineyards such as San Gimignano, Montalcino, Pienza and Cortona; Tuscany offers multiple backgrounds ideal to the most traditional "yes". Up to the most unusual ones: as the unspoilt and at times wild nature of the Maremma. Still not stormed by mass tourism, the Maremma is a mix of hills, pastures for breeding in the wild, long beaches, thermal baths of roman memory but equipped today with every comfort. A magical place to exchange a promise, listening to the call of History and Earth.
