The wine has an intense ruby ​​red color, tending to garnet with aging; The smell is intense, fine, fresh, fruity, with hints of red fruits, marasca, very often plum. Ethereal, can have a wooden feel; The taste is dry, warm, slightly tannic, soft with aging. The minimum total alcoholic strength by volume is 12,50% vol for Red and 13,00% vol for the Reserve, which must be subjected to an aging period of not less than two years, of which at least one in wooden barrels . The aging period starts on 1 January following the vintage of grapes. The minimum total acidity must not be less than 4,50 g / l; The minimum non-reducing extract of 24.0 g / l for the Red type and 26.0 g / l for the Reserve.
