On 16 December 2021, the dossier of the candidacy of the city of Grosseto for the Capital of Culture for 2024 was presented.
Grosseto has been defined "naturally cultural" to underline the link between the city and its territory and the synergy between the two aspects that make it what it is. A project that goes to fish the terms of rural life to mark the various stages of realization and that wants to enhance the historical and artistic aspects of city, starting from the museum network and from the monuments and connecting them to the naturalistic aspects.
