The fountain of the Boar is located on the Molino a Vento Bastion and was designed and built by Tolomeo Faccendi in 1950. It actually consists of an oval-shaped tank with a bronze sculpture in the center representing a wild boar surrounded by four other animals: a frog, a snail, a crab and a turtle. These are the animals typical of the territory and representative of the various natural environments that can be found there: from the Mediterranean scrub to the humid environments and the coastal and marine environment.
