A festival featuring talented young musicians who will not only bring the music to life, but also enrich the audience's experience by telling the history and curiosities of the precious instruments.
Program:
April 5 - Lute and Theorbo
In the first evening we will discover the fascination of the Lute and Tiorba together with musician Dario Landi and Alessandro Rispoli who will curate the evening.
May 3 - Organ
We will discover the Organ and especially the Italian style organ with its related virtuosic repertoire of toccatas, songs and accompaniments for religious celebrations.
June 7 - Violin and Organ
Introducing the prince of Italian instruments, the Violin. We will discover its repertoire both sacred and secular, its role and evolution over the centuries.
July 12 - Lied
First of two events dedicated to the piano. We will discover the most beautiful compositions of the Lied tradition with works by Schubert, Beethoven, Schumann and other distinguished composers.
July 27 - The Fortepiano
We will discover the ancestor of the modern piano; the instrument that originated in Italy but quickly became a European phenomenon, a source of inspiration for famous composers such as Mozart, Beethoven and many others.
Aug. 16 - Lied
Second event dedicated to the piano. We will discover the most beautiful compositions of the Lied tradition with works by Schubert, Beethoven, Schumann and other distinguished composers.
Aug. 31 - Jubilee Workshop
“Representation of Soul and Body” by Emilio dei Cavalieri composed in Rome on the occasion of the I6oo Jubilee.
All concerts will take place at the Museum in Corso A.Diaz 28
