On Friday 4 September, at 9.00 pm, the Città di Grosseto Symphony Orchestra returns to the Granaio Lorenese, conducted by the Turkish maestro Hakan Sensoy, with Tommaso Benciolini as flute soloist. The programme features works by Bach, Tchaikovsky and Arensky.
Sensoy, a leading figure on the international music scene, is the only Turkish conductor to have conducted at La Scala. He is currently the conductor of the Akbar Chamber Orchestra, the MR Chamber Orchestra, the Mersin Chamber Orchestra and the Cemal Resit Rey Symphony Orchestra. He has contributed to numerous radio and television programmes as a guest and producer.
Benciolini, winner of the 2017 New York Respighi Prize, made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2018, one of the world’s most important concert halls for classical music. His concert career sees him regularly performing as a soloist in many of the world’s most prestigious theatres.
Tickets are available for advance purchase online at https://www.vivaticket.com/it and at Tabaccheria Stolzi, Via Roma 58, Grosseto (information line: 333 5372994).
