A show that revolves around the character of Nemesio Rea, a famous actor who we find in three “paintings” that mark three different parts of the staging.
In the first painting he plays a Tuscan farmer who participated in the terrible battle of Montaperti. In the second painting it is in his dressing room that he talks about the violent breakup with his wife. Finally, in the third picture, we find him living happily in a garbage can. He left everything, he decided, like the Greek philosopher Diogenes, to reject all ambition and possession to be free to talk about the true meaning of life.
The protagonist is Stefano Fresi, film, TV and theater actor, much loved by the public and praised by critics (as well as a talented musician). In this show he recites three different Italian languages for each of the monologues (Tuscan vernacular, current language of our 21st century, Roman dialect): three atmospheres, three tones, three styles. Epic and comedy, mockery and cruelty.
