It’s not the rose, it’s not the tulip - plants, flowers and Fabrizio De André

The theater-song show "NON È LA ROSA, NON È IL TULIPANO - piante, fiori e Fabrizio De André" tells the myths, legends and stories that have always linked the study of plants to the lives of men. The inspiration comes from illustrious sources, such as those of Apuleius, Pliny, Linnaeus, Darwin, but also from folk tales of the Mediterranean area. The original theatre monologues are alternated with songs by De André, so that the audience can be guided in a colorful botanical garden of music and theater.
The production of the Teatro dello Sbaglio aims to promote scientific dissemination through the ironic and entertaining communication of the theater-song. The original texts are written and interpreted by Cosimo Postiglione, actor, singer, author and biologist. The arrangements and musical performances are curated by Paolo Mari, guitar teacher and musician of great experience. Poster illustration: Roberto Fino (Pixar Animation Studios).
