Castel del Piano: a town told through aromas and flavors
On December 6, 2025, events will include talks, cooking demonstrations, and tastings. An entire day will be dedicated to local products, starting with a conference (10:00 a.m.) at Palazzo Nerucci on "Roots and Future: The Taste of Amiata Between Tradition and Innovation, From Roots to Traditions, Proposing a Journey." This will be followed by a cooking demonstration on acquacotta performed by Matteo Donati and Valentino Gobbetto.
An original guided tour through the aromas of the cuisine will characterize the afternoon. Orienteering through flavors, starting at 4:00 p.m., will be a true taste trek where taste buds will count more than legs. The meeting point is Piazza Madonna. Participation is free, but reservations are essential by writing to orientering.amiata@gmail.com.
The day concludes at 6 pm with a three-stage tasting tour designed by Vulcanica, from Piazza Garibaldi to the Logge di Palazzo Nerucci, featuring music and children's games. The tastings are also free (a €5 deposit is required for the tasting glass) and guided by ONAV sommeliers.
