This year, the events will take place at the Teatro del Leccio. As is customary, the festival is accompanied by a new illustration, chosen – as always – by the art director of Capalbio Libri, Piero Zagami, who commissioned Jacopo Rosati to create it.

On Tuesday 4 August, at 9.30 pm, Giuseppe Conte will discuss his book *Una nuova primavera. La mia storia, i nostri valori, la sfida progressista per l’Italia* (Marsilio) in conversation with Roberto Napoletano. Readings by Marta Mondelli.

Wednesday 5 August will once again feature a double bill. Rocco Antonio Cangelosi, *Ukraine and the Fate of Europe: Why the Continent’s Future Lies in Kyiv* (IDA Press), with Giuliano Amato, Giorgio La Malfa and Giulio Napolitano; moderated by Claudio Tito, with readings by Irene Grazioli Fabiani. At

9.30 pm, the reading circle dedicated to masterpieces of short fiction, ‘Aspesi Readings’. A conversation reflecting on how brevity can become one of the most profound forms of contemporary writing, with Sonia Lisco and Gianluigi Ricuperati, and readings by Linda Messerklinger.

On Thursday 6 August at 9.30 pm, Veronica De Romanis presents *The Economy of Fear: Why Conservatism Means Regression* (Mondadori) with Gianluca Brozzetti. Hosted by Sergio Rizzo, with readings once again by Irene Grazioli Fabiani.

On Friday 7 August at 7.30 pm, a discussion on ‘Trump vs Europe’: Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, author of *Da soli. Gli europei alla prova di Trump nelle sfide dell’economia globale* (Rizzoli), and Innocenzo Cipolletta, author of *Dopo Trump. Il futuro della globalizzazione* (Laterza), will be in conversation with Stefano Feltri, with readings by Stefano Goracci. At 9.30 pm, Mauro Canali presents his *Ritratto di giovane fascista. Il caso Mauro De Mauro* (Donzelli) alongside Alberto Negri. Hosted by Flavia Fratello, with readings by Marta Mondelli.

The eighth and final evening, on Saturday 8 August, begins at 7.30 pm with Chicco Testa’s *We Were Members of the PCI* (Liberilibri), featuring Alberto Abruzzese and Eugenio Giani; the event is hosted by Barbara Palombelli, with readings by Stefano Goracci.
