Museo Magma - Follonica Città di Ferro

The MAGMA Museum in Follonica is taking part in the September ‘S-Passo al Museo’ summer camps, an initiative promoted by the Region of Tuscany that involves local museums in activities aimed at children and young people, designed to transform cultural spaces into places of creativity and social interaction.

On Wednesday 2 September, from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, MAGMA will host the ‘Follonica: City of Iron’ programme, aimed at children aged 5 to 11. A morning combining the museum, history and creativity, during which participants will be able to learn more about Follonica’s past through an interactive guided tour and an educational workshop.

After an initial welcome and a tour of the museum’s galleries, the children will take part in a creative activity centred on the ‘factory town’, through which they will be able to reflect on what they have observed and discovered during the morning by creating a collaborative structure inspired by Follonica and its industrial history.

The camp also includes a snack break for participants and is designed to offer an educational and engaging experience through play and participation.
The cost is 7 euros per child. Registration is open until 30 August.
