The Night of Culture – Pezzi da Novanta, organised by Grosseto City Council as part of the Città Visibile event, invites you to the Chelliana Municipal Library’s initiative, FLORES DE TANGO: an evening of Argentine tango for dancers and beginners, taking place on Saturday 26 September in the Sala Eden at the Bastione Garibaldi, starting at 6.00 pm.
The show has been created to commemorate the great composer Astor Piazzolla, who passed away in 1992 and whose connection to Italy is evident in some of his most famous pieces.
Admission is free.
Here is the programme:
- at 6.00 pm: an introductory workshop on tango culture led by Argentine dance teacher Alicia Mabel Vaccarini from the Orango Tango School in Rome (book by calling 3339054837)
- at 8.00 pm, for those who wish, a 1990s-themed set-menu dinner is available for €25 (bookings on 3273945254).
- from 9.00 pm: Milonga featuring a concert by the Argentine duo Salnisky-Vedèle (bandoneon and vocals – piano)
