Civitella Marittima GR – The 2025 Edition of the Alta Maremma Festival – Gran Palio Storico dei Carretti dresses up in the Middle Ages! From 13 to 15 June 2025

A festival entirely set in a medieval setting with a historical parade, itinerant theatre shows, conferences, medieval music and pyromancy and juggling shows through the streets of the village. Medieval menu for all three days at lunch and dinner. Medieval-themed games and entertainment for the little ones.
The festival opens on Friday 13 June at 7:00 pm with the itinerant theatre show “Buffi Misteri” by Canguasti Teatro, followed by medieval music and dance by Archam Folk Band and the opening of the food stand. Saturday 14th June live events, medieval live music with the Beasts of Bacchus, medieval-themed food stand open for lunch and dinner, medieval games in the village, pyromancy shows, medieval juggling and acrobatics, seminar on medieval theatre. Sunday 15th June opens with a guided tour of the village of Civitella, followed by a medieval-themed food stand open for lunch and dinner, historical parade of the Corte dell'Ardenghesca with a performance by the Gruppo dei Rullanti dell'Ardenghesca and the Gruppo sbandieratori di Roccatederighi, followed by the most anticipated event of the festival: the Gran Palio Storico dei Carretti which will elect the winning contrada again this year.
