The author from Grosseto, Alessandro Spalletta, presents the novel "Il Cavaliere del Grifone", the first chapter of the trilogy dedicated to the Maremma Middle Ages. Talks with the author journalist Carlo Sestini.

The book retraces the life of the condottiero Bino degli Abati del Malia, viscount of Batignano and captain of the people of Grosseto, the man who led the city in the heroic battle against the invading army of the emperor Ludovico il Bavaro.

Based on a true story, "The Knight of the Griffon" is a real novel of training, in which the young nobleman of Maremma finds himself dealing with the ups and downs of life, between intrigues, betrayals and epic battles, which led Grosseto to free himself, Although for a short time, from the invading Sienese domain.
