The baobab is a majestic tropical tree native to Madagascar, grows fast and lives 500 years, but in some parts of Africa it seems that there are specimens 5,000 years old. For the African people it is a sacred tree called Tree of Life. The name Baobab means "fruit from many seeds". These seeds are in fact the most valuable part of the fruit because from their cold pressing is obtained the precious baobab oil, rich in antioxidants, used in western cosmetics. With the powder, drinks or infusions are obtained. The processing of Baobab seeds and its derivatives is a kind of currency for the locals.
It was the significant metaphor, the perfect title for a fundraising event that starts from a small, tiny gift, which becomes something big and vital. We spread good seeds, of figurative art, of music, of poetry and prose, of beauty.
