From 2 to 4 October 2026, the town’s historic centre will be the setting for evocative historical processions, allegorical parades by the Contrade, briscola tournaments, live music and events for all ages – not to mention the undisputed star of the show: grapes in all their forms.

In the streets, the scent of grape must and cooking fills the air as you stroll past open wine cellars and ‘frasche’ (traditional wine-tasting huts), through markets and little corners where you can sample a taste of the Maremma.

The programme alternates between family-friendly festivities and more dynamic activities — morning hikes to explore the area, evening concerts and DJ sets in the squares, right through to unexpected performances such as pole dancing.

Throughout the festival, the star of the show will be the excellent local cuisine, made with locally sourced ingredients, to be enjoyed in the marquee of Ristorante Il Poggetto (with covered seating) or at the wineries open to visitors.

Don’t miss Sunday: the grand Historical Parade, featuring over a hundred participants, and the announcement of the winning district bring the event to a close with music and performances.
