A three days entirely dedicated to one of the most famous painters who marked the end of 1500 and the beginning of 1600: this is Michelangelo Merisi, better known as Caravaggio. The artist is strongly linked to the territory where he spent the last period of his life.

🗓 Thursday, July 18, at 21:30 in Piazza Santa Barbara, opens the three days with a representation "Tableaux Vivant" that brings on stage the most famous works of the painter making them revived through the immortal language of the theater. "Caravaggio e i Caravaggeschi" is an action/concert born from the collaboration between the company Teatri 35 and the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti of Naples, which brings together music, painting and theatrical performance.

🗓 July 19, always at 21:30, is the day dedicated to the meeting between important authors and art scholars: the journalist de la Repubblica Vania Colasanti at the Corsini Botanical Garden, presents her latest work "Chasing Caravaggio. In his places and in his paintings" published by Baldini + Castoldi, and he will dialogue with Constantine D'Orazio, art historian and essayist, also author of various texts on Merisi as "Caravaggio Segreto. The mysteries hidden in his masterpieces" and "Caravaggio Mystery" to name a few.

🗓 To conclude the three days, Saturday, July 20 at 21.30 in Piazza Santa Barbara, the historian, researcher and writer Silvano Vinceti will be the protagonist of an event entitled "The mysteries and the truths denied by Caravaggio" and focused on a reinterpretation of the life and works of Michelangelo Merisi. A revisitation of the figure of a great artist always surrounded by an aura of mystery, interviewed by the journalist FABIOLA FAVILLI.
