The princely tombs of Sassi Grossi and the birth of Roselle.
From the Etruscan burials of Sassi Grossi (Roselle, GR) arrive the findings soon to be admired in the new exhibition at the Archaeological and Art Museum of Maremma.
Through the deposition inside the tombs of these valuable funeral equipment, the result of the craftsmanship and metallurgy of the Etruscans and their trade with other ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean, The buried of Sassi Grossi showed the community the wealth they enjoyed in life and which could be used even in the afterlife.
A powerful propaganda message to strengthen their control over the territory and the populations that inhabited it, capable of surprising and catalyzing attention even today, thousands of years later.
