Among the illustrious people to whom Cinigiano was born, Captain Giuseppe Bruchi, Gold medalist of the war in Libya, who, after having participated in the African war in 1895-1897, died in Sciara-Sciat on the 23rd, deserves mention. October 1911. In the square dedicated to him, together with the Town Hall, stands a monument to his memory. The four bronze bas-reliefs affixed to the base that supports the bust represent Sacrifice, Glory, Homeland and Valor. The sculptor is Fulvio Corsini while the travertine bases are the work of Torello Pianigiani.
