In the sixteenth century, Cosimo I worked to make the cities of the Grand Duchy safe by adapting the fortifications to the new techniques of warfare. We will visit the Medici walls, the Sienese Cassero and the Fortress with the panoramic gardens, the battlements, the thrones and the secret underground streets, in the company of Le Orme - Guide della Maremma Toscana. The walk continues among religious buildings, historic palaces and important museums to connect the places of the entire Grossetano territory, rich in historical evidence from the Etruscans to the contemporary age, on which to build new itineraries for visits.
