The Alberese Estate owned by the Ente Terre Regionali Toscane is one of the largest organic farms in Europe working in a protected area. With more than 4,200 hectares of property land in the heart of the Maremma Natural Park, the breeding in the wild of pure Maremma cattle and equine herds, governed in the traditional way every day by our butteri (cowboys) on horseback, is the very symbol of the land of Maremma. Upon prior reservation for experienced visitors only it is possible to participate in the work excursion with the butteri, while everyone else may visit the historic saddlery.
