Starting from the Monastery of Siloe, we will go along the route called “Via del Monastero” to the town of Sasso d’Ombrone; we will head towards the beginning panoramic walk that circumscribes the ancient walls and, continuing towards a dirt road that goes downwards, we will join the “Via del Fiume” which runs alongside the Ombrone river. We will continue along an easy trail until we reach a
rest area near the river and then continue to the bridge over the Ombrone.
However, returning 100 m backwards it will also be possible to continue
on the opposite side for the “Strada Leopoldina”, an ancient flat and
easily walkable road that continues for many km.
