Tuscany Trail 2023 in Maremma Tuscany 


A bike and 470 km ahead of you: this is the experience of the Tuscany Trail, which has reached its tenth edition this year. Every year the largest bikepacking event in the world takes place in Tuscany and has hundreds of members from more than 40 countries around the world. This year the route was made in a ring starting and returning from Donoratico and touched numerous locations: Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena and, in our province, Paganico, Batignano, Roselle, Castiglione delle Pescaia passing through the Diaccia nature reserve Botrona, Punta Ala Follonica and then the Etruscan coast until returning to Donoratico.

Beautiful experience among typical Tuscan views and villages and wonderful stretches of coast to do in complete freedom. It is not, in fact, a speed race, but an experience to be enjoyed at your own pace: the stages can be decided by the participants and you can choose how to approach them. The total duration reaches a maximum of six days, but two are enough for expert cyclists.
