Cristiano Militello in Castel del Piano for the Sorgenti Film Festival

Castel del Piano is preparing to welcome Cristiano Militello. On Saturday 1 August, at 9.15 pm, Piazza Garibaldi will host a show by the well-known comedian, cabaret artist and television presenter, one of the most recognisable faces in Italian comedy.

The event forms part of the Sorgenti Film Festival, a festival launched in 2020 under the artistic direction of Gianmarco Nucciotti and Andrea Muzzi, which involves the municipalities of Monte Amiata through talks, shows, screenings and concerts. The festival was created with the aim of bringing the public closer to the world of cinema and entertainment and, at the same time, promoting the landscapes and towns of the Monte Amiata area as potential locations for film productions.

Cristiano Militello began his artistic career in Tuscan cabaret, also appearing on the programme ‘Vernice Fresca’ with Carlo Conti. For many years, he has been one of the stars of ‘Striscia la notizia’, where he presents the popular segment ‘Striscia lo Striscione’, dedicated to the funniest banners, signs and interviews gathered from Italian stadiums.
