‘PERSONAS’ – Mario Auad

In this exhibition, Mario Auad’s paintings delve deeply into everyday life through the eyes of a modern “flâneur”. Like a wandering observer who navigates and deciphers the urban pulse, his works capture suspended moments of ordinary men and women, immersed in their own microcosms of waiting, passing through or contemplation.

Rooted in narrative painting and contemporary figurative art with an Impressionist influence, his work explores the poetry of everyday life through the eyes of the modern observer.

Through concise compositions, the true subject of his canvases becomes the person who brings the colour to life: the bodies lend dynamism to the painterly material thanks to a solid structure of chromatic masses, in which light sculpts the forms and imbues each scene with a unique psychological atmosphere.

Biography

MARIO AUAD
Lima, Peru 1979
Mario Auad, having completed his studies at the National School of Fine Arts of Peru, specialising in painting, graduated with a degree in Art from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos. His pictorial subjects range from en plein air scenes to images of everyday urban life.
