The “Piatti di Pirite” event is an initiative organised under the patronage of Gavorrano Town Council and Vetrina Toscana, in collaboration with various local organisations such as Confesercenti Grosseto, the Maremma and Tirreno Chamber of Commerce, the Region of Tuscany and other partners.

Programme:

Meeting point: Thursday 25 June at 5.00 pm at the Gavorrano Mining Museum.

Activities: Guided tour of the Mining Museum and the Teatro delle Rocce, to discover the history and traditions linked to mining in the area.

Tasting of traditional local dishes.

The event is organised by Confesercenti in partnership with Vetrina Toscana, a project of the Tuscany Region, in collaboration with Unioncamere Toscana, which promotes food and wine tourism; coordinated by Toscana Promozione Turistica with the support of Fondazione Sistema Toscana.

This will be a special evening, going far beyond a mere dinner: a journey through memory, flavours and the local area. The Gavorrano Mining Park opens its doors to the public for an afternoon dedicated to discovering the history of mining, guided by Le Orme, followed by an immersion in the flavours of the Maremma’s culinary traditions.
