On Thursday 2 January, at 5 p.m., at the Salvini Theatre in Pitigliano, the 12th review of the ‘Befane delle colline e della montagna’ (witches of the hills and mountains) organised by Professor Angelo Biondi will be held, with a performance of the Befana popular songs, by the groups of Pitigliano, Montorio, Pian di Palma di Saturnia, Latera San Martino sul Fiora.
The festival continues on Sunday, 5 January, at 6.30 pm in Piazza Garibaldi, with dancing and singing by the five groups of pitiglianesi befane. From the square, the groups will leave to go and sing in the farmhouses as per tradition.
