Carnival Fiction is a summer event that began in 2012 and has evolved over various editions, each with its own distinct character, into its current form – a true summer carnival. Masks and floats bring the historic centre to life until the evening, when a DJ set takes over, keeping everyone dancing until late into the night.

What sets Carnival Fiction apart is the originality of its masks and groups, which are often characterised by satire and high-spirited fun; the spirit of the event is all about enjoyment, and the creative imagination of the people of Orbetello comes to the fore in all its most irreverent forms.
