On Saturday, November 29, at 9:15 pm, the Teatro degli Unanimi in Arcidosso will host the Il Canovaccio Company of Pisa with Georges Feydeau's Tailor for a Lady, for the final evening of the festival. This is a welcome return: the Pisan company, among the most applauded in past editions, brings back to Arcidosso an irresistible classic of French comedy, directed and translated by Giuseppe Raimo and Joanne Lorelli, the soul and strength of the company.

In Tailor for a Lady, Georges Feydeau demonstrates his unmistakable ability to construct a continuous vortex of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and twists.
At the center of the story is Dr. Moulineaux, a former libertine newly married to Yvonne, who tries in vain to cover up his extramarital affairs. To meet his last lover, Suzanne Aubin, he rents an apartment that once housed a tailoring shop.
From that moment on, a series of unexpected characters relentlessly enter and exit the scene, forcing Moulineaux to pretend to be… just a tailor for a lady, Mr. Machin.
A crescendo of paradoxical situations arises, lies that are increasingly difficult to sustain and impeccable comedy, built like a cog of the highest precision.
