From 8 to 14 August, Orbetello (GR) will host the Sagra della Salsiccia, its summer edition. In this well-known seaside resort in the Grosseto Maremma, there will be five evenings of entertainment and good food, including a winter edition.

The programme for the Orbetello Sausage Festival features a menu just waiting to be discovered. The star of the show, and the speciality that will be the highlight of the evening, will, of course, be the sausage.

The event will take place at the Ottorino Vezzosi Stadium, with entry via the former seaplane base, just outside the city gates and therefore the historic centre, every evening at dinner time.

How to get to the festival site: you can reach the area near the stadium from both directions. If you’re coming from the sea wall and the historic centre, turn right immediately after passing through the gates and a petrol station; if, on the other hand, you’re coming from the Aurelia road, after passing Orbetello Scalo and Neghelli, cross the bridge, continue along Via Marconi, turning left immediately after the park and just before the petrol station.

The Orbetello Sausage Festival is organised by U.S. Orbetello 1908 in collaboration with the volunteers on hand during the festival evenings.
