In Castel del Piano this July, every Friday of the month, the historic centre comes alive with music and crafts thanks to “Il Centro Storico Risuona” and “Artisti a Palazzo”
A double bill of events organised by the music school and the Ildebrando Imberciadori Association
The aim is to encourage residents and visitors to rediscover the streets, squares and palaces of the town.

‘Artisti a Palazzo’ is back – the event hosted at Palazzo Nerucci and promoted by the Ildebrando Imberciadori Association in collaboration with the local council: from 6.30 pm, the ground floor of the palace and the loggias will host craftspeople who will not only exhibit their work but also demonstrate their techniques live, sharing stories about the materials, history and traditions behind them.
At the same time, on Friday 3 July at 9.30 pm, in Piazza Colonna, the first event of the ‘Il Centro storico risuona’ series – promoted by the Italo Fazzi Municipal Music School – will take place, kicking off the programme with a concert by the Tico Tico Duo, comprising Francesco Da Viola (seven-string guitar) and Maddalena Pastorelli (flute). A journey through the sounds of Brazilian folk music, ranging from choro to bossa nova and forró.
These two events complement each other perfectly and represent a deliberate choice by the local council: to make the historic centre a vibrant place, rich in culture, music and traditions.
“These are important initiatives, which will take place every Friday in July to revitalise the historic centre as a hub for culture and socialising,” emphasises the mayor of Castel del Piano, Cinzia Pieraccini. “We invite you to experience Castel del Piano, strolling amongst the craftspeople and rounding off the evening with a top-class concert.”
