The programme
Luca Bizzarri in “Non hanno un dubbio” – Thursday 30 July
Written and directed by actor and comedian Luca Bizzarri alongside Ugo Ripamonti, “Non hanno un dubbio” is a stage play inspired by Bizzarri’s podcast and book of the same name, “Non hanno un dubbio”. Originally conceived as a satire on an election campaign, the project quickly became a genuine cultural phenomenon, capable of spanning various mediums: from the written word to the web, and finally to the stage, where it takes on its most vibrant and powerful form. “Non hanno un dubbio” is a show that is constantly evolving, updating, growing and adapting, presenting dazzling flashes of comic insight. The political discourse of our times, social media phenomena, the customs and misdeeds of a new millennium: an often merciless but never banal mirror, presented with the irreverent intelligence and wit of a great performer.
I Gatti Mézzi in concert – Friday 31 July
The duo, formed in 2005 from the artistic partnership between two true-born Pisans, Tommaso Novi, pianist, singer and master whistler, and Francesco Bottai, guitarist and singer, returns to the stage with a lively and entertaining performance. What unites Novi and Bottai, in fact, is a passion for a style of composition that is ironic, experimental, cultured and irreverent, gliding over melodies that range from jazz to swing, passing through the sounds of folk music.
“Discovering Morricone” with the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra – Saturday 1 August
The Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Giacomo Loprieno, presents a tribute to the music of the great Italian composer, enriched by combining his most famous pieces with lesser-known but equally beautiful works, drawing on Maestro Morricone’s boundless repertoire to create a concert of immense emotional depth. It is not just music, in fact, but a journey of words, evocative moments and solo performances, guiding the audience through the decades that have made Italian and international cinema and music great. A show that draws heavily upon and reinterprets the rich heritage of over 500 soundtracks that have made Maestro Morricone’s name known throughout the world.
“Francesco”, Aldo Cazzullo & Angelo Branduardi – Monday 3 August
In 2026, Italy celebrates its patron saint, “the most Italian of saints”: St Francis, who died 800 years ago. Aldo Cazzullo and Angelo Branduardi recount the saint’s story—or rather, his stories. The St Francis of devotion: the wolf, the sermon to the birds, the stigmata. The St Francis of history: his conversion, his renunciation of worldly goods, his relationship with the Pope, the founding of the order, the crusade, his meeting with the Sultan. St Francis the poet: the Canticle of the Creatures. The great Franciscans, from the Third Order to the saints, right up to the first Pope named Francis. Through words, music and images, the figure of a wonderful saint is brought back to life, and a precious piece of Italian identity is reconstructed.
