Grosseto has joined the “Giro d’Italia per la Pace” and is preparing to welcome the Lamp of Peace from Assisi. The initiative was presented this morning at a press conference alongside representatives of the route organised by the National Coordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights.
The Municipality of Grosseto has approved its membership of the Organising Committee of the ‘Giro d’Italia per la Pace’, a national initiative that traverses the country with the aim of promoting the values of peace, solidarity, dialogue and respect for human rights.
As part of the project, Grosseto will host a stage of the national tour and welcome the Assisi Lamp of Peace, a symbol of brotherhood, hope and civic engagement. This event will involve the community, institutions, associations and, in particular, schools and the younger generations.
