The traditional Fair of the 29th returns to Pitigliano!

We look forward to seeing you on Monday 29 September, from morning until evening, in the market area.

The 29th Fair has its roots in the past: established by Count Ludovico Orsini in 1518, it is among the oldest fairs in Tuscany and the oldest in the Maremma.

Born as a livestock and goods fair, it initially took place on August 15th. Only at the end of ‘600 was it moved to September 29, the date linked to the beginning of the harvest, thanks to the Confraternity of Faccendieri, small country entrepreneurs.
