On 8 March, International Women's Day, the Archaeological Parks of Maremma will once again be participating in the Ministry of Culture's annual initiative offering free admission to all state-owned cultural sites for women.
Furthermore, with the aim of raising awareness among visitors of the cultural and social significance of the Day, the Parks are enriching their calendar of events by including a series of special visits to various archaeological sites, with the following times and procedures:
Cosa Archaeological Park:
9.30am - 12pm: free guided tour of the Park, organised by MiC staff in collaboration with the cultural association “Insieme in rosa” (Orbetello section, insiemeinrosaonlus.it), which is involved in awareness campaigns for the fight against and prevention of cancer. After the tour, there will be an engaging metabolic walk with headphones, a circular route and exercises led by a trainer. Sportswear and a water bottle are required. The event is a fundraiser to contribute to the purchase of a fiducial marker for the radiotherapy department of the Misericordia Hospital in Grosseto.
3pm - 5pm: free guided tour of the park by MiC staff
