Friday 4 September – Archaeology Friday
At the Roselle Archaeological Park, from 7.00 pm, there will be a special guided tour of the ongoing excavations in the area of the medieval cathedral and the adjoining cemetery, which features the monumental remains of the Hadrianic baths complex. The research team from the University of Buffalo, which has been awarded the excavation project concession until 2026, will explain the latest scientific discoveries to visitors on site.
The event will be repeated, at the same times and in the same way, on Friday 18 September and, exceptionally, on Saturday 26 September, to mark the European Heritage Days (GEP).
On Sunday 6 September, the ‘Sunday at the Museum’ event returns to all the parks – the well-known initiative organised by the Ministry of Culture, which offers free entry to various state-run cultural institutions and sites.
